We are pleased that all Schönbrunn Group locations (SCHÖNBRUNN PALACESISI MUSEUM,VIENNA FURNITURE MUSEUM and SCHLOSS HOF ESTATE) are open again for guests! The safety and health of our guests and employees is our highest priority. Therefore, we ask you to take note of our safety & hygiene measures - especially our FFP2 mask obligation and the 2-G rule (recovered, vaccinated) in the indoor area.

Families with children

  • Children to age 6 are exempt from the rules for admission and mask-wearing.
  • For schoolchildren aged 6 to 11, the 3-G rule still applies: A valid test (antigen test 48h, PCR test 72h) is sufficient. A completed (fully stickered) Ninja Pass is also valid over the weekend. A face covering over mouth and nose must be worn.
  • For school children aged 12 to 15 the 2.5G rule applies (proof of full vaccination/past infection, negative PCR test taken within the past 48 hours in Vienna). A face covering over mouth and nose must be worn. Children aged 14 and upwards must wear an FFP2 mask.
  • For accompanying adults the 2G rules applies (proof of full vaccination/past infection); an FFP2 mask must be worn over mouth and nose.
  • Guided tours for groups of up to 25 persons are allowed (2G rule and mandatory FFP2 mask).

Safety Precautions

2G Proof

Please carry your 2G proof (vaccinated or recovered) including an official photo ID during your stay. The control takes place in the entrance area. This applies to visitors 12 years and older.

Mouth and nose protection

Please wear a FFP2 mask to protect those around you. Children between the age of six and 14 are allowed to wear mouth and nose protection instead of the FFP2 mask. Children under 6 do not need to wear a mask.

Keep your distance

For your own safety and that of others, we recommend to keep a distance of at least 2 metre from staff and visitors. It is most urgent that you take note of the safety instructions of our staff, which are issued for everyone’s safety.

Avoid Groups

Avoid gathering in groups and, if necessary, wait before entering a particular room or area.

Please note hygiene recommendations

Please keep to the hygiene recommendations. This means washing your hands regularly for a minimum of 20 seconds, and use the hand sanitizer dispensers provided. Make sure you sneeze/cough into disposable tissues, alternatively into your elbow.

If possible pay cashless – for your safety and that of our staff. Please use as priority the option of buying tickets online at This is also possible at short notice before admission!

We would ask you not to visit any of our attractions or sites if you have symptoms or signs of illness such as fever, cough, breathlessness or breathing difficulties.
