The monumental Milan Centrepiece

The monumental Milan Centrepiece was commissioned from the firm of Luigi Manfredini to mark the coronation of Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria as King of Lombardy and Venetia in 1838. It is the most elaborate ensemble in the Imperial Silver Collection and together with its mirror plateaux it can be extended to a length of thirty metres.
